Customer & platform notifications
Control which channels your automated messages reach clients on — and which workspace events ping you in the app.
Gloora sends two very different kinds of notification: the automated messages that go out to your clients, and the in-app alerts that keep you and your team on top of the day. Each has its own settings page.
Messages to your clients
Open Settings → Customer Notifications. This is the control room for how booking updates reach customers — not the wording (that's Templates), but the channels they travel on and the brand they wear.
Your seeded automations — booking confirmations, reminders, receipts, win-back and birthday nudges — flow out over three channels, each with its own card:
- Email — send in Gloora-branded styling, or flip to Your logo and colors to wear your own logo and colours (add a logo and brand colour first) — still sent from Gloora's address. On the Own Brand Pack this becomes Send emails with your brand: booking emails leave from your own domain through your own Resend account and use no Gloora credit — connect that under Integrations. A separate Automatic booking receipt toggle controls the itemised receipt Gloora emails the moment a booking is paid.
- WhatsApp — confirmations from Gloora's shared number out of the box, or Your brand to send them from your own WhatsApp Business number once it's connected. Sending booking messages from your own number is part of the Own Brand Pack, so until you have it the toggle shows a plan note — connecting the number on its own powers your inbox, not sending.
- SMS — a text-message fallback, billed per message at the destination country's rate.
Turning a channel on or off saves instantly. To change what the messages say, use the Set up automation shortcut, and the View sending activity shortcut opens the delivery log.
Inside Automations
That shortcut opens Automations, which sorts every flow into three groups:
- Already running — The automations Gloora sends out of the box. Turn any off if you don't need it. Each one carries a Built-in tag.
- Gloora AI pre-built — Ready-made automations we set up for you. Edit or switch any off. They wear a Gloora badge, so ours are never mistaken for yours.
- Your automations — Custom flows you've built.
Building your own needs the automations add-on. Without it the page explains what the builder does instead of handing you a form whose every save would be refused — and the messages already going out to customers keep going out, because those run on your plan's channels, not on the builder.
Credit is the master switch
WhatsApp, SMS and email are all paid per send from your Messaging credit wallet, shown at the top of the page with a Buy credit button. If the balance hits zero, every paid channel is forced off and shows Needs credit until you top up — so a dry wallet never silently swallows a confirmation. The one exception is the free automatic booking receipt, which keeps sending regardless.
To send your own brand over WhatsApp, connect your number first: the Connect WhatsApp button takes you straight to Integrations. Promotional blasts are a separate flow — see WhatsApp campaigns.
Alerts to you and your team
Open Settings → Platform Notifications. These are your personal in-app alerts — each logged-in team member sets their own, and they never reach a customer.
Under Notify me about, switch on the workspace events you want surfaced the instant they happen: New bookings, New messages from the inbox, Payments, Reviews, No-shows, Failed messages, and more. The Sound card adds a Notification sound chime on top.
The bell never misses anything
These toggles only control the pop-up and the sound. The notification bell in the top bar always keeps the complete log — muting an event just stops it interrupting you, it never hides it.
