Gloora Docs

Import your data

Bring your clients, services, team, and history into Gloora from Fresha, Booksy, Square, Vagaro, Mindbody — or any CSV.

Switching from another booking system doesn't mean starting from scratch. Gloora reads a plain CSV export from your old tool and brings your records across — auto-matched, validated, and safe to run twice. Open SettingsMigration.

What you can bring over

Under Catalog & people you import the foundations of your business — Clients, Services, Staff, and Products. Under History & balances you bring your balances and past activity — Gift cards (with their original codes intact), Memberships, and Booking history.

Each type imports on its own — pick one, finish it, then start the next.

Order matters for linked records

Import Clients first. Memberships and booking history attach to client profiles by phone or email — any row naming a client Gloora hasn't seen yet is skipped, not guessed. Clients in first means everything else links up cleanly.

The import flow

Choose what to import

Pick the record type from the grid. Each card names the one or two columns that file must contain — a name and a phone for clients, a name and a price for services.

Upload your export

Tell Gloora Where is this export from? — Fresha, Booksy, Square, Vagaro, Mindbody, or Other — then drop your CSV. Export straight from your old system with nothing renamed; the file is read right in your browser, and the columns get sorted out in the next step.

Match your columns

Gloora reads your headers and lines them up against its own fields, tagging each guess Auto-matched or Check this one so you know what to double-check — and you can correct any match from a dropdown. Here you also choose the Import into branch, split a single full-name column into first and last (One column holds the full name — split it into first + last), and confirm how Dates in this file read as read. A live preview shows your first rows exactly as they'll land.

Review before anything saves

Gloora sorts every row into three buckets — Ready to import, Duplicates — will be skipped, and Invalid — will be skipped — checking your file against records you already have. Anything with a problem is listed with the exact reason; Download error report to get a row-by-row report you can fix and re-import. Only clean, new rows go in.

Import and confirm

Gloora writes your rows in batches behind a live progress bar. Keep the tab open until it finishes. When it's done you'll see Import complete with a Created, Skipped, and Failed tally, plus a link straight to the records you just brought in.

Re-running is always safe

Stopped an import early, or unsure a file fully landed? Run the same file again. Gloora skips anything that already exists, so you never end up with duplicate clients or double-counted history — re-importing only fills the gaps.
